For the longest time I was starting to lose interest on this website since alot of people were leaving here and went off to Instagram, Twitter or any other art website so it felt dead around here in terms of activity. I was also trying to go professional with my art and animation (still am) and I figured this wouldn't be the best place to do that. So I decided to follow the pack and went off to Twitter ( @SkyBlueArts95 ) so I could show my art to a potentially larger audience.

The most that I posted on here was artwork for the audio drama's "Daughter of Discord" and occasionally for "Remembrance" and of course the odd piece of artwork I made in my spare time. Now that I'm finished with Daughter of Discord I've kinda been taking a back seat from audio drama's to focus on my own art and animation work as I have a couple of things in mind that I would like to work on.

I decided to come back because many people were thinking of coming back here due to Twitter supposedly "shadow banning" you for retweeting your own posts (which I haven't noticed anything so far but eh) 
I kinda missed the old days for when I was super active on here 10 years ago which is why I decided to maybe give it a try again and see where it takes me. 

So what's been going on in my life?
Well for one thing, Malte and I have been living together for almost a year now! Although we're still living with my mom until we've saved up enough to move house but he moved to the UK so we could start our lives together (which hopefully in a few months time we'll be in our own place). 
I've mostly been working in my job and trying to get my freelance career off the ground by doing commissions which i will announce on here in the near future!
I also intend to start posting more on YouTube at some point by making some storytime animation videos since I've been inspired by JaidenAnimations, Let Me Explain Studios, Domics and many more talented animators! Trying to work out the kinks atm so hopefully in the somewhat near future I will have something to show! 

I'm also trying to improve myself as a person and my mental health as I've noticed I haven't been doing too well in the past few months if not longer. I've got a long way to go of course but I hope I can get somewhere. But only time can tell! 
There have been many occasions when I wanted to start a project or even draw something but then I would have little to no motivation, would have too many ideas that I don't know where to start or... I would just be too terrified to work on them out of fear or people not liking them. I'm trying to get out of that habit now but it's something I've struggled with for the longest time and there have been many times where I think I'm not good enough. 
I've thought back on the years when I just drew whatever the hell I wanted and never hesitated but as I've gotten older I find myself not drawing as freely as I used to. I became a bit of a perfectionist and while that's not always a bad thing, it screwed me over on MULTIPLE occasions and I would think that anything I do is never good enough. It's a battle I have with myself pretty often and sure I will at times make something that I like the way it turned out but usually ends up not looking great shortly after I've made it. 
And it's not even just wanting to improve as an artist but it's the way I handle things as well in many situations so here's to self improvement! 

Anyway, I hope to be a bit more active on here and just in general so hope you all stick around!
